This is a brief overview of the Perrin Technique for ME/CFS. A link has been provided to jump to the appointment options if you have trouble concentrating.
Please note: I will shortly be opening the list for new patients for the Perrin Technique, although this won’t be until early 2018. This is to stop Christmas and New Year getting in the way of your treatment. Details will be posted here before the Christmas break.

About the Perrin Technique
The Perrin Technique is a clinically trialled osteopathic approach to the treatment of CFS/ME Chronic Fatigue Syndrome researched and developed in 1989 by Dr Raymond Perrin (an osteopath). Dr Perrin’s view is that CFS/ME is a neurological problem (not a psychiatric problem), that has diagnosable physical signs and is treatable through the musculoskeletal system and the lymphatic system.
The treatment manually stimulates the fluid movement through the brain and spinal cord. Manipulation of the spine further aids drainage of toxins out of the cerebrospinal fluid. Massage of the soft tissues in the head, neck, back and chest direct all the toxins out of the lymphatic system and into the blood, where the blood is purified by the liver.
Eventually, with no toxins affecting the brain, the sympathetic nervous system begins to function correctly, and providing the patients do not overstrain themselves their symptoms should gradually improve and in time patients can become totally symptom-free.
I was personally trained by Raymond Perrin in his Manchester clinic in 2005. Together with Isla Brown, we have been treating patients with ME/CFS in Galston, Ayrshire. The two of us have been trained and treating patients with ME/CFS far longer than anyone else in Scotland.
